FAQs

Questions, answered.

I've never done Reformer Pilates. Where should I start?

Alto Reformer 1 (Beginners) is the place to start. It's a beginner-friendly introduction to the reformer where you'll learn the fundamentals — alignment, breath, and how to drive the carriage with control — while building core strength, stability, flexibility and body awareness.

What should I wear and bring?

Comfortable, fitted activewear (loose clothing can get caught in the springs), clean grip socks, and a water bottle. Our studio is shoe-free — please leave them in the designated area.

How early should I arrive?

Please arrive 5 minutes before your class — and no earlier. We allow transition time between classes to reduce crowding, so arriving too early means waiting outside the studio.

What is your cancellation policy?

We operate a strict 12 hour cancellation policy on all class and private bookings. Cancellations made within 12 hours of the class will be fully charged.

Is there an age requirement?

Yes — all clients must be 16 years of age or older to attend Reformer Pilates classes at Alto. All new clients are required to inform us of any existing conditions, injuries or medical concerns prior to taking their first class.

How do memberships work?

At Alto, our monthly membership is 8 classes per month. Our memberships are subject to a minimum 3-month contract and renew automatically unless cancelled. Unused classes do not roll over and expire at the end of each billing cycle. A 30-day notice period is required for cancellation. Cancellation requests must be submitted by email.

What if I miss the 12-hour cancellation window on a membership?

Due to the high volume of late cancellations, we operate a 12-hour cancellation policy on all bookings. To transfer between classes on the same day, contact the studio directly via email or instagram and we'll do our best to help.

Can I get a refund?

Refund requests are assessed on a case by case basis and cannot be guaranteed. Where a refund is approved, a €25 administration fee applies. Refund requests made more than 14 days after the original purchase date will not be accepted. Monthly packages cannot be extended and any unused credits expire at the end of their validity period.

Will I always have the same instructor?

Alto Studios reserves the right to substitute instructors where necessary due to illness, emergency cover, or unforeseen circumstances. Class packs and memberships are not sold with a guarantee of a specific instructor. We also reserve the right to amend class times, schedules and class formats where required.
